RETRIEVING BOOKS

If we are to make a case in the Courts of Heaven concerning the generational blessings that are ours, we must prophetically discern them. You can’t claim what you aren’t aware of. We have established that there is among the books of heaven a book about our family. Once this is understood, we should begin the process of coming to this awareness of what is ours. I mentioned in an earlier chapter about an activation I have done in possessing our books. This should be done; otherwise, we will not be able to recognize what has been committed to us and our families.

There are two different yet related things that we must do to realize what is in our family book. We must retrieve the book and we must open the book. Otherwise, what is in the book will be an ongoing mystery. Isaiah 29:10-12 gives us insight into what happens when we don’t have possession of our opened book.

For the Lord has poured out on you

The spirit of deep sleep,

And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets;

And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.

The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, “Read this, please.”

And he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”

Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.”

And he says, “I am not literate.”

These are amazing verses in that they reveal that prophets and seers can only perceive from open books. Very clearly we are told that when books are not possessed and/or opened, prophets and seers have closed eyes and covered heads. This means there is no prophetic revelation. Prophetic revelation is what is in the books. This is what we must discern before we can present a case in the Courts of Heaven. Again, Daniel 7:10 says opened books are connected to heavenly Court operation.

A fiery stream issued

And came forth from before Him.

A thousand thousands ministered to Him;

Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.

The court was seated,

And the books were opened.

It is impossible to present a case in the Courts without having a prophetic understanding of what is in your family’s book. These verses in Isaiah 29 speak of two groups of people trying to discern what is in the book. One group is literate. This means they have learned to read. It speaks of the gifted ones. They have prophetic abilities. However, they cannot see or read from the books because they are closed! It doesn’t matter how strong a person’s prophetic abilities are. If the book is shut, they will not be able to read from it. There will be no discerning of the destiny, purpose, or intent of the Lord for that family until the book is opened.

The other group mentioned is the illiterate. These are those who can’t read. They are the ungifted. It doesn’t matter whether the book is opened or not. They don’t seem to have the prophetic abilities necessary to perceive what is in the book.
